Quando ci si trova nella situazione di voler stampare qualcosa ma nel momento non si ha a disposizione una stampante, oppure ci si vuole salvare un documento, soprattutto una pagina web, in pdf occorre aver installato pdf printer on your system. In Windows there are many software that do this job, I'm used to use PDF Creator. To do the same thing in Ubuntu, then install the package cups-pdf. This package, similar to PDF Creator, creates a virtual printer which gives output as PDF files.
The following operations are only 2:
1) install cups-pdf with command sudo apt-get install cups-pdf
This command installs the package and automatically creates the virtual printer. The list of printers you can already find if you go to System> Administration menu> Print.
2) Create a folder called PDF in your home:
sudo mkdir ~ / PDF
Provate a stampare sulla nuova stampante pdf. Diversamente da PDF Creator, cups non ci chiede dove salvare il file pdf creato ma lo salva direttamente nella cartella home/PDF che avete creato al punto 2.
